Learn the basics of your sewing machine, sewing tools, and techniques
New to sewing or need a refresher before jumping back in? Sewing 101 is designed for the brand-new beginner who wants to understand their sewing machine and build a foundation of essential sewing skills.
You’ll learn how your machine works, how to set it up, and the basic techniques and terminology you’ll encounter as you continue sewing. We’ll also introduce common sewing tools, notions, thread, and fabric so you can feel more comfortable starting your next project or class.
No previous sewing experience is required.

What to Bring
Bringing your own sewing machine is highly recommended so you can learn how to set up and use the machine you'll be sewing with at home.
Don't have a machine yet? Sewing machines are available to reserve for class.
All other class materials are provided, including fabric and thread. You'll also receive an information sheet to take home.
