
Beginner Quilting Class
Begin your quilting journey with the Blessed Beginnings Table Runner
Learn the fundamentals of quilting while making a complete quilted table runner from start to finish in this beginner-friendly class with Lisa Glasgow.
Throughout the class, you’ll work through each stage of the quilting process, from cutting and piecing to quilting and binding. By completing the Blessed Beginnings Table Runner, you’ll build foundational skills and techniques that can be carried into larger quilts and future quilting projects.
This class is designed for brand-new and new quilters who already have a basic understanding of how to use their sewing machine.

Before taking this class, students should:
• Have a basic understanding of their sewing machine and how to use it
• Pick up their fabric before the first session
What to Bring
Bring a sewing machine in good working order. Using your own machine is preferred so you can become more comfortable working with it, but classroom machines are available when reserved ahead of time.
Students will also need:
• 1/4" presser foot for your sewing machine
Washi tape
• Pins and pincushion
• Binding clips (recommended, but not required)
• Erasable or fading fabric marking pen or Hera marker
• Seam ripper
• Small thread scissors or snips
• Fabric scissors
• 45mm rotary cutter
• 18" × 24" rotary cutting mat
• 6" × 24" quilting ruler
• Microtex 70/10 or 80/12 machine needles
• Quilting 90/14 machine needle
Included with Your Class
Fabric for the Blessed Beginnings Table Runner, batting, basting spray, and the pattern are included.
Some homework may be assigned between sessions depending on individual progress.
